EltaMD is back in Canada.
Our first EltaMD restock arrived on October 17, and five sunscreens are in stock now: UV Clear SPF 46, UV Clear Tinted SPF 46, UV Daily SPF 40, UV Daily Tinted SPF 40 and UV Physical Tinted SPF 41. UV Clear SPF 46 and UV Clear Tinted SPF 46 are $75, UV Daily SPF 40 and UV Daily Tinted SPF 40 are $74, and UV Physical Tinted SPF 41 is $77 (CAD). Orders ship from our warehouse in British Columbia within two business days, and pre-orders are being filled in the order they were received.
If you spent the summer searching for EltaMD in Canada and finding it sold out everywhere, the wait is over. EltaMD paused its Canadian distribution in mid-2026 — not a recall, not a safety issue, simply a supply pause — and the remaining stock sold through by August. Distribution resumed in late September, and our first shipment arrived on October 17.

Ordering and shipping
- All five sunscreens are in stock and ship from our warehouse in British Columbia within two business days, with tracking.
- Free shipping on orders $65+.
- If you placed a pre-order, it is being filled in the order received; you'll get a shipping confirmation with tracking when it leaves.
- Stock is limited to the first shipment on hand. If a product sells out, its page will say so and we'll email waitlist customers when the next shipment is confirmed.
Why EltaMD was unavailable in Canada
EltaMD paused shipping to Canadian retailers in mid-2026. There was no recall and no change to the formulas, so any EltaMD you already own can be used as directed. The pause affected every Canadian seller, which is why searches for EltaMD turned up "sold out" everywhere for several months. Distribution has now resumed, and stock arrived at Skin Boutique Online on October 17, 2026.
Health Canada authorization
Every EltaMD sunscreen we sell is authorized by Health Canada. Chemical and hybrid formulas are licensed as non-prescription drugs with a Drug Identification Number (DIN). Mineral-only formulas are licensed as natural health products with a Natural Product Number (NPN). You can verify each number in Health Canada's Drug Product Database or Licensed Natural Health Products Database.

Yes. After a distribution pause in mid-2026, EltaMD is available in Canada again as of October 2026. Why was EltaMD discontinued in Canada?
It wasn't discontinued. EltaMD paused shipments to Canadian retailers in mid-2026, which is why it appeared sold out everywhere for several months. There was no recall and no change to the formulas. Distribution resumed in late September 2026.
Has the EltaMD formula changed?
No. The Canadian box of EltaMD UV Clear SPF 46 lists zinc oxide 9.0% and octinoxate 7.5% as its medicinal ingredients, the same as before the pause. UV Daily SPF 40 lists the same two ingredients.
Is EltaMD approved by Health Canada?
Yes. Every EltaMD sunscreen we carry is authorized by Health Canada. UV Clear, UV Clear Tinted, UV Daily and UV Daily Tinted are non-prescription drugs with DINs. UV Physical Tinted SPF 41 is a licensed natural health product, NPN 80007076. The licence holder for all five is CP Skin Health Group, Inc., EltaMD's parent company.
